Coach Tony Ingle’s leadership, faith, perseverance and enthusiastic “Fired-Up” attitude has created one of the  best comeback stories in the history of sports.  He went 0-19 as the interim head coach at BYU lost his job and was left depressed broke and branded a loser never to coach again.  Tony, against all odds,  continued to protect and pursue his dreams of being a head Coach in college and never gave up on his dream of winning  that  National Championship. Tony says; “not one person or a group of people nor one circumstance or group of circumstances should prevent us from realizing our dreams.”

In 2004, during college basketball’s March Madness  ” Live on CBS TV ” with millions of viewers, Coach Tony Ingle and his Kennesaw State University team was seen celebrating and accepting the NCAA Division II National Championship trophy!  WOW! Dream come true! Tony says; ” It only took me 31 years.”

In 2005, Coach Tony Ingle, a two time national coach of the year, and KSU embraced the change of reclassifying up to NCAA division I status. Coach Tony Ingle had many successes including a major upset victory over Georgia Tech and went on to become the “All time winningest coach in KSU History ” but it was not enough to secure a multi year contract or keep him from being fired as the basketball coach but not from the university. where he works as a university advancement fundraising department.  He teaches during difficult times our “emotional recovery time” is so vital to creating our future and we need to forget the hurt , get Fired- Up and keep”climbing the ladder” to our dreams. Tony says Heck!, “We ain’t got but one life to live and I sure would hate living it with out a dream”

Coach Tony Ingle was born deformed; he had five major face  operation before he was thirteen. He flunked the fifth grade and was labeled dumb by classmates and teachers.  His parents were so poor they could not buy him a pair of shoes to tryout for the basketball team, so he fished out a pair of mismatched  shoes from the local high school dumpster. When he was a sophomore in high school he was beaten by his father because he refused to quit school.  If that was not enough after receiving a scholarship to play college basketball he suffered what was suppose to be a career ending knee injury.  Tony refused to quit and participated in four years of collegiate competition.  Tony says “When our dreams are big enough the obstacles are small enough to overcome”

Tony has so many experiences to draw from that it is very common for him to tailor make his speeches to meet the specific needs of the group or organization.  Tony, recently sold the rights to his book “I don’t mind hitting bottom, I just hate dragging” to a Hollywood movie producer.
